Digital Life

Overall the digital life is an pretty positive thing. This is because it is very easy for visiting and doing things in general. We can use it in school life, like we can do homeowner, and it is easier for teachers to teach us. Plus we can do games and different activities with our friends and family. We don;t have to go to places to see the actually thing. Overall, life is easier for me since we can use more devices that can help us with every day life. The only thing that we need is we need to get off our phones and devices and actually talk to people. When you look around you see always one person on their phone. We need to put down our devices and actually have an real conversation with people. Life would be completely different today if we didn't have a cell phone. We would actually have to do things rather then go online and hope that it is on their. Our lives would be completely different without even an kindle, cause then we would actually have to go o the library to get the books that we want or need. I am glad that today has all the devices that we have, or else life would be a lot harder for a lot of people.

Reflection

When we did the project in my opinion I thought that the project was really fun. Even though we couldn't talk to our partners, and mine was right by next to me, it was really easy to work with my partner because we agreed with everything. The good news was that we finished in time to present today. Over all i thought that it was as really fun project, I would hope to do it again, but it would also be fun to pick our partners and do the same thing that they did. Business will be now easier for me to work with people that are across the world.

Thanksgiving Break

This thanksgiving break I stayed home and not go to the farm because of my sisters head injuries. We went over to my friends house and we brought over lots of food. At the party we and my friend, max, played video games the whole time until it was time to eat. We said our prayers and began to eat. Then for the rest of the night all of the kids watch the TV show Fat Guys in the Woods, and laugh at all of the guys comment as they went through the woods. The reason why i didn't participate in black Friday is because I hate shopping. There is no point it. There is just an day when you do shopping, but instead every thing is crowed and you don't get the things that you want. That is basically all of what I did during this Thanksgiving break.

When I look back on making an website I think that this was the funnest thing in this class that we have done yet. I put thought into what I was going to do and do it. Plus the website helped most with the design part of it. I will definitely want to do this project again because it is an fun thing to learn about the internet. the best thing that I liked about Wix was that you can put anything you want on the website you can put on their. you can do anything for the background of your website, even videos! Overall I had an really good time with doing this project and I hope we do it again some time in the future.

Using Apps

I don't use very many apps to benefit me during the day but, when I do use the apps I find the ones that I use very useful to me. The reason why I don't use apps very often is because I think that using, or having any technology around me while I am doing something that involves work, I put my device aside unless I need to use it. I think that they are distracting and might get in the way of me studying for something or doing my every day chores. My daily life wouldn't be that much different besides the fact that the teachers might have to teach a little bit differently. Besides that, my life would be the same. So overall I think that apps distract me, so I don't use them unless I have to.

Review of Abortion

Overall I had an okay time learning about my presentation. I wanted to learn about this topic because it is not stress enough, but after a while, it just got boring doing the same things over and over again accept for using different things for the projects. The most favorite thing that we did was the overall presentation that we have to present to the class at the end of the class. The reason why that I choose this is because we already knew all of the information that we needed to make a really good presentation, all we need to do is put it on a web 2.0 device and we are done. Also, everyone else gets to hear about what have research over the last few months.  If we had to do it again I would select another issue because I know that there are more global issues that are not stressed enough, so I would want to get to those, so that other people will know what I am talking about. This is my last blog post that I am doing for this project and overall I say that it was a good idea, but it got really boring as we kept on doing it.

Memorable Presentation

To me a memorable presentation will have a last ending remark that you will never forget. The speaker, will know all of their information about the topic, and will barely have to look off of the presentation. Plus everything would just had to flow as you present the information. Also the presentation will have the same mood that your topic is. So if you were doing a sad presentation about something sad then you have a smile face on the presentation, then that would not make since. I am going to make mine memorable by doing the same picture on every slide, a baby with a tear rolling down her eye and every thing will flow. I will try to do my best to present but sometimes I get nervous around people and mess up my words. that is what I think and what I am going to do to make my presentation or any other presentation memorable.

Advice for Perfect Presentation

4.) Highlight main ideas

Royals victory

Last night was really lose because they went into extra endings.t the beginning of the game we were losing by a lot buy then they caught up by the last ending. To be honest I was hoping that the Royal s would lose so they could win in their home stadium. Overall I am glad that they won last night. I am happy for them because  they won the world series like they did 30 years ago.

What is an Info graphic?

An info-graph is a visual of an topic that you can put all sorts of things on it like graphs, tables, images and other things. It tries to persuade people to do something by it images and its graphs and information, that is how they get people to read it. The best information for an info-graphic is facts that involve numbers and percentages. I will use it for this class because I will present it to the class and the people will be more involved in it because the pictures make it more interesting to watch. Do Less With More Focus

To me, I think that this means that if you jam a lot of things in your day, you will not have enough focus. But, if you do less things in the day, you will have a lot more focus on doing the task that you are on. This can apply to every day life, because if you cram a lot of things that you want to do in your day, then you will have less focus on that task that you are doing. This can also apply in school because if you stress over many subjects and try to get them all done at once. You will have no idea what you are doing in that class because you were not a focused as you should have been things to do in this class, it will benefit me in being more focused because I will not stress with the next assignment is because we would have plenty of time to do it. I would probably have more time to read things over and check to make sure that they are 100% done before turning them in. I think that we should do less because then I would be more focused on the thing that we are doing on right now

Study Habits

This is an comic page on studying. It shows that the U.S doesn't study like China and India do. I do not agree with this statement because I know lots of people who are from the U.S, who study most of the time. I am one of those people who study all of the time. But if I was from China or India, I would agree with this statement because that it is not offending where I am from. I would not care if  The U.S people studied or not. The only thing that I would care about is if where I am from is getting offended or not. Plus if i was a teacher I would probably disagree with this statement to. For me, it depends on the type of person that the student is. Some people need to study to get a good grade on a test. While others don't. In my opinion though I think that this comic page is not true and I think that they should redo this.

Homecoming

My homecoming weekend was not what i thought it would be. At my volley ball tournament, we got 2nd place. then I didn't  feel well so i went home and rest for a little bit before i went with my group. Then I got ready i meet with my group to do pictures. After pictures we went at eat, and once again I was not feeling well. So I called my mom to pick me up and i went home and fell asleep. I was hoping to go to homecoming but I wasn't felling well so I didn't.

Homecoming Weekend

For this homecoming weekend I am going to be really busy. On Saturday, since I am on the freshman A team, we have a tournament this weekend that I have to go to. Then right after that I have to take a shower, and then meet up with my group for homecoming. I don't know where we are going to exactly but I know that we are going some where and then right after that we are going to be taking pics and going straight to homecoming. I don't know if we are doing anything after homecoming but we are most likely not. And then Sunday for me will just be me working on my homework I got today. That is all that I am doing for homecoming weekend.

What id E-mail?

E-mail is a way to send messages to people from online when you what to contact them about something. I use E-mail i multiple different ways. I if have school work that is due,and i am gone for that day, I will email my teacher that I am sick and that i will turn it in online. Then when I get back to school next time, I can turn in the actually hard copy. I also use it to stay close to my friends. They can send me pictures of it of what they did that day. Then I can reply back to them with a picture or comment. You can use it for work to.
You can send emails to your boss or employees telling them what you have to do. Other students can use it for sending things to their teachers or, if they are in a group, they can send the work that they did to their group, so that they wont have a bad grade in the class. Like me. they can also use it to stay close to friends. You can send happy birthday cards, or get well cards from email to. You can also invite people to places, to do something with them. I know nothing about Email etiquette. To be honest, I have never heard of the word before, so I have no idea what it is about.

Global Issue Facts

Some of the things that I have learned about my topic, abortion is that a lot of people do it. And people can do it in an unsafe way, so that means you can die from doing it. Also that it is legal in some places to do it. For example you are allowed to do it in Canada. While in other parts, for example the U.S, it is illegal to do it.Is is sad that 45,951,133 abortions has happened since 1973. And that this is a global issue because in thousands of places all over the world it is legal to do it.

And the only reason why people do it is because they don't think that they are responsible enough to care for a baby. But, the women could have gotten rape and doesn't want a child so that is also why they could do it. It is still sad though that living things are dying without seeing a warm smiling or a happy thought.that is all the new facts that I learned about my topic.

Abortion Essay Idea's

My thesis statement for my persuasive essay is that I believe that abortion is a bad thing and must put it to a stop as quickly as we can. My three questions that are going to be in my my essay is my most important topic is. What is it and why do people do it? In this paragraph I will explain what abortion is and why people think that it is a good thing to do it. Then, my next paragraph would be why is abortion such a bad thing? I this paragraph i will give off research and idea of why i think that it is a bad thing. Also, i will give off organizations that are trying to stop abortion and what there role is. The final paragraph will be about what countries around the world and how much of it is it. I will give statements like this country has the most because..... and this country has the least because..... And then ill explain why. I have all three questions in evernote will information under each one of them. They have there websites which I got the information from at the top of the note. The outcome that I want to get out of this is that people will think that abortion is a bad thing. And there is nothing that we, as students can do about abortion, besides people not to do it. 10 Years from Now

10 years from now I will be at my home having a have life with a family. I am not sure what job would want to have but my best bet is that I will be a teacher. I will have 2 kids, and have a nice home in Kansas city. I will check in on my parents often and see if they need any help with any thing. I will also be close to my sisters and our families will be very tight. I will have a husband that is an business worker and he will come home every day with lots of money. We will have a successful life together as our children will go to the best school and have the best education. We will have a house with at least three floor, counting the basement. It will have a huge dining room and living room, so we can have a big place to have guest at.  Finally, in the basement, I will. have a movie theater so my family can come together as a family.That is where I will be 10 years from now.

Topic Decision

The topic that most interests me is Abortion. Abortion is when someone gets pregnant, and they don't want to have a baby, they have a choice between sucking it up and keeping the baby. Or they can kill the baby inside them by taking this shot that can kill them. That is called abortion. It is basically killing the baby from the inside.
The reason why this topic interests me is because I haven't learned that much about the topic so all of the information that I am going to learn is going to be new. Plus, this is not a topic that is put out there as much as others like pollution, or global warning, and things like that, so I think that the people that I am going to present this information to is going to learn something new.
Abortion has effected my life because, a family member of mine did it. At first I had no idea what they were doing. I knew that she was pregnant and the baby was going to happen soon. But one day my mom got off the phone and talk my sisters and I what is going on. I had no idea what she meant by when she was saying that she wasn't going to have the baby. Then my mom explained more about how she didn't want to have the baby so she took a shot, and she killed the baby. I didn't know how sad it was at the time, but now I see how horrible of a thing it is, so that want to do this topic to change peoples minds about abortion.
The different perspectives on my issue. There are the women, that get pregnant, because you don't know if they want to be pregnant. And then there are the pregnant person  are close to the person. Like, in most cases, the person that they had sex with, are family members, and those kind of people. Some people think that abortion is a good thing. These are the people who think that abortion is for a good cause are you do it because of something bad that is happened to them or they don't think that they have the responsibility to take care of the baby. Then there is the people who think that abortion is the bad thing. They think that it is a bad thing because they are killing a living thing, even though it is in their body they are killing a living thing. That means that people agree and disagree on things about the topic. This topic, can also can have controversy because of the different perspectives and how the person got pregnant in the first place. Sometimes it is for the better things, because they might have gotten rape, and got pregnant. It might also be for a bad thing because they might feel like they have enough responsibility to do it. That is why there are different view points on it. Because there are different scenarios on how the person got pregnant. I think that is this class learns more about abortion, they will not do it, and think before they kill someone.

My second answer to, do you think social bookmarking is a helpful & beneficial tool, is yes because it helps keep you organized, and keeps all of your popular things that you go to easier to get to so you can save time. And my final answer to, Did you learn about any new social bookmarking sites that you would like to start using, is that i am not sure. Your Digital Life

Today, I watched a video about a women saying that we spend to much time on our phones. I agree with her because, everyday at the lunch table that I sit at , at least half of the people are on their  phones doing something online. They are not socializing with anyone, they are just on their phones, doing what ever they want. I think this is a problem because this will make you have less confidence about yourself, and you will start using your phone, or any other digital device for every thing. I will change how much time i am on a device. The problem is I don't use my very much or any other device unless I have to, for school and other things like that. Devices will become a big deal in the future because they will be updated and they will act like humans. When really, they are not. I think that people should put down their phones and have a good quality conversation

PSA Reflection

There were lots of really good reflections that happened yesterday. The was one that Kira did about relationship abuse which I thought was really well done because, as the slides were going you actually got to hear and example of relationship abuse. I thought that impacted me because now i have a better idea of what it looks like and sounds like. There was another one that impacted the Hiba did about racial sensitivity. The reason why it impacted me because  I really never thought about that topic before, and as i was watching it I it really got me wondering about what other people would think. Then the final one that had an impact on me is Mohammad's one about Child invisibility. Once again, I never thought about that topic before, and I didn't know that this was ever an issue. So I didn't know anything about this topic at all. Now that i know about this topic, I might have a better idea why people act that way. All of the PSA's that were presented were good but these were the one's that stuck out to me the most.

My Three Day Weekend

The three days I had off were pretty relaxing. On Saturday, I had a tournament for the freshman A team. We got third place and in my opinion, we did really well. We would have made it into the finals if it wasn't for the line judge. She literally told our team that she had no idea what she was doing and she was sorry for making a big error. On Sunday, I did lots of homework, and then I went over to my friends Max's  house to hang out. Then on Monday, my sister and I went back to Max's house to do an interview about homecoming. Cause my sister, Christina, really wants to go to homecoming. While, I am not so sure. So he did an interview to put on a newspaper, or something like that. So that is what I did for my three day weekend.

Kids These Days

When i am 70 or 80 years old, there is going to be a lot of different things that have happened over the years. Things are going to be invented that haven't been invented yet. For example, they might make a robot that can tie shoes. I will most likely complain about how that when i was younger, i had to tie my own shows. I might also complain about people not going outside. I think this is because technology would be so good, that all we want to do is play on it. I will probably tell people to go outside and play while you still can. That is what i think that I will complain about when I am 70 or 80 years old.

How to Make a Good PSA

I learned from this website is that there are multiple of ways to get your PSA out there, so that people can hear it. You can have a radio person read it.  You can have it in a form of an radio commercial, if you want to be more professional. Or, you can make a video about your topic. To make a good PSA, it must answer the five W's. Who, what,when,where, and why. You must always include contact information. And to make your PSA memorable, try to humor or scare your audience to keep them more intrigue with the topic. Always submit your PSA to everyone on your media list. Then finally, track your PSA, so you know what is going on with it, and to see if anyone is really getting something out of it.

A public service announcement or PSA, is when someone, or a group of people, tell us about something that is going on in the world. These can changed peoples attitude, or behavior of the subject. They usually pop out in commercials, or when you are walking a street of a big city. There is usually someone there, talking about something that they invented, or something that they want people to donate to. They are mostly used to show people how important something is to us, or persuade the audience to buy it, or change their opinions. There have been none yet that i have really liked , because all the ones i have seen had a poor speaker involved, but i am sure that there are some good ones out there that really stick out. So, a public service announcement basically tries to change the audiences point of view, or behavior of the subject.

I Think that at first it was hard to get use to prezi, but then once you go the hang of it, it became a lot easier to use than power point. Prezi makes the most effective presentation because it has a you can have more of a visual point of view. I think it is easier to learn it visually then taking notes so i Prefer prezi because there is a lot more things that you can do with it. I would choose the next time i have to do an presentation because i think that you will enjoy making it more and the audience i think will prefer it better.

Words for Teenagers Response

 Words for Teenagers is about a judge basically saying to teen kids, that they need to stop asking, and start doing. They need to grow up. In my opinion, I think that it is a good idea for older teenagers, like 16 and up. But for the younger teenagers, they need to stay young and ask help while they can, because they will not get the help they need , or be that young forever. So, overall i think that it is a good idea for older teenagers, but if you were a younger teenager, then Ill say stay young while you can.
